11:40 PM
Police say a Florida woman used a Pizza Hut order form to call for help while she and her three children were being held hostage at knifepoint by her boyfriend.

Cheryl Treadway and her boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson, were arguing throughout the day, when he started wielding a large knife, police said. When she tried to leave the house to pick her kids up from school, Nickerson went with her to make sure she returned home. When she was back inside, Cheryl asked for her phone to order pizza through the Pizza Hut app, leaving a cry for help in a comment section for a classic pepperoni pizza. Her boyfriend didn’t notice and quickly took the phone back.

Pizza Hut employees got Cheryl’s message — ’Please help. Get 911 to me’ — and promptly contacted the police. Deputies got to the home and managed to convince Nickerson to let the hostages go and surrender. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon without intent to kill, battery, false imprisonment, and obstructing justice by depriving communication to law enforcement.

The restaurant’s manager, Candy Hamilton, said that she’s never seen anything like this in all her 28 years of work.
