It is more likely that fathers will not be pleased with these ndings, but according to most of the researches, children inherit the intelligence from the feminine, or the so-called X gene. According to Dr. Keith Witt, the X chromosome possesses a great number of genes, and most of them have an in uence on cognitive abilities.

Recently, it was generally stated that children equally inherit their intelligence from their parents, from both the mother and the father.Nevertheless, it was found out that, in case this research is claimed to be true, that mothers have got a greater impact on the cognitive abilities of their children than the fathers.

However, it has to be emphasized that this research is quite polemic. A great number of the studies, exposing the vague functioning of the intelligence, arouse a discussion. With regards to this, genetics represents an absolutely complicated and versatile scientific field. A lot of researches have been done recently, with the aim to contradict, or more seriously, to change the similar researches that have been done before.

Taking into consideration the dynamic discussion, it is essential to present and to study out the findings objectively. However, what is more interesting is that this study seems highly entertaining. And, what is more, the main aim to entertain. Also, it is not only entertaining, but it is intriguing.

THE FUNCTION OF THE X AND Y CHROMOSOMES
A lot of people do not know a lot about genetics. That is the reason why we should mention some essential facts about genetics. At the same time, it will make more readable and more understandable the rest of the article for the readers.

• Chromosomes are threadlike structures, which consists of protein and nucleic acids. Chromosomes are the one that carry the genetic information.

• All human beings carry a pair of chromosomes in every cell.

• Males have got on X chromosome and one Y chromosome, whereas the females have got two X chromosomes.

‘Conditioned Genes’
Basically, conditioned genes are the one that are genderspecific. It is already known that the genetic characteristics of the conditioned genes are either activated or deactivated regarding the specific designation, and as a result of that, the genetic properties are being influenced. Conditioned genes consist of tagging system, which mainly consists of biochemical materials. The tagging system can do these two functions:

1. Define the origin of the genes and
2. Determinate the activated or the deactivated conditions in the human body.

To add, the activated genes have an influence on the genetic development, whereas the deactivated genes do not have influence at all.

Secondly, if some characteristics of a person are inherited by the mother, the paternal genes are then deactivated. As a result of that, is some characteristics are inherited by the father, then the maternal genes are the ones that are deactivated. The functioning of the conditioned genes is the basis for the intelligence researches.

INTERRELATED HISTORY AND FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
It is supposed that the X chromosome mainly influences the cognitive abilities. This means that cognition is more influenced by the women, as they possess two X chromosomes, whereas males possess only one X chromosome. However, it is more related to the theory rather than to the number of the X chromosomes.

Here the major role is attributed to the conditioned genes. Intelligence is regarded as a very conditioned gene, and a gene that is basically inherited by the mother.

In the mentioned study, subjects of research are mice, which were used by scientists in order to examine their hypothesis. They found out embryonic subjects that were conducted mainly maternal genetic material evolved a greater cranium and brain, whereas evolved a smaller body. However, embryonic subjects that were conducted namely paternal genetic material evolved a bigger body, whereas the cranium and the brain were smaller.

Related to the brain and the cranium size, researches restricted some of their observations. Firstly, they identified six parts of the brain that consists of either maternal or paternal material.

Secondly, they do not identified any paternal genes in the cerebral cortex, which is the part of the brain effective for supervisory functioning, including languages, advanced thinking, planning, logical reasoning, etc. It has been previously known that mothers have got an influence on the intelligence of the children. In 1984, at the University of Cambridge, a study examined both the brain development, or also known as coevolution, and the genomic conditioning. In the end, it was concluded that the maternal genetic material has got an enormous influence on the development of the brain.

A lot of studies, in the past and today, were similar to this one, with the same findings. In one study, which is worth mentioning, a group of researchers at the Governmental Agency in Scotland investigated almost 12. 686 people at the age from 14 to 22. The subjects were interviewed every years by the researchers, while their intellectual development was taken into consideration, as well as other different factors, as ethnicity and education. At the end, the scientists concluded that the IQ from the mothers was discovered to be the main predictor of intelligence for the children.

CONCLUSION
According to this study and the other related ones, the intelligence is going to be a subject of evaluation and assessment yet. As it was stated before, no findings of any scientific researches about the inherited intelligence will be totally accepted.

Nevertheless, one conclusion that has been approved is that mothers have got an enormous influence on the cognitive abilities of the children. And it is not related to genetic only. Taking care and nourishments are also associated with the intellectual development of the children, which are also overtaken by the mother. Moreover, the special relationship between the child and the mother stimulates them to investigate the world and to resolve any problems.

To sum up, mothers have got greater influence on the intellectual development of the children than it can be claimed by the genetic experiments. Nevertheless, the findings of this study and of some other support the idea that the children inherit their intelligence from the mothers.
Thank you, moms
